CATCH THE CATFISH CULTURE
Attracting over 9,000 people each year, the GRCF is held at the beautiful Charles T. Black City Park and features the largest 4th of July fireworks display in South Central Kentucky, which is nothing short of breathtaking.
Since 1981, the Green River Catfish Festival has been a staple for Butler and surrounding county residents. Happening around the 4th of July holiday, the annual Catfish Festival offers up a variety of entertainment options from exciting carnival rides, old-fashioned games, delicious foods, unique vendors, road race, state-qualifying beauty pageants, livestock, and 4-H shows, captivating art displays, classic car & tractor shows, nightly concert series, canoeing & kayaking, terrapin race, corn hole, fishing tournament with thousands of dollars in cash prizes and so much more!
Everyone is invited to join us this year for a fun-filled, family-friendly experience that will leave you waiting for next year!
STAY IN TOUCH
When you come to the Festival, you’re sure to get that down-home feel. Don’t let our small-town fool you, we can draw a crowd. Everyone comes out to be a part of the Biggest event Butler County and Morgantown has to offer! We take pride in showing our town off and reconnecting with those we haven’t seen in a while (or since last years festival). Celebrating our 39th annual Green River Catfish Festival, we must be doing something right!
